Application and conversion
The advertised rating is standby, not continuous-duty power. Confirm the intended load, run hours, ambient conditions, redundancy and included switchgear with your project engineer.
The seller reports that changing RPM can support 60 Hz operation. Obtain written Cat dealer confirmation for each serial-number configuration, including the alternator, controls, voltage, resulting rating, work scope and cost. These units are offered as 50 Hz equipment; do not assume a confirmed 60 Hz package.
U.S. destination requirements
Request the actual EPA engine certification labels and engine-family details. Export-market units may not have the certification required for U.S. import or operation. Have the importer and project team confirm eligibility, emergency or non-emergency classification and applicable air permits before purchase. A generic 3516E specification sheet does not establish the certification of these units.
